MicroA can produce astaxanthin of the highest quality possible. Astaxanthin is a natural pigment produced by the microalga Haematococcus pluvialis. It is in fact the red color you see in crustaceans, salmon and even flamingos.
Astaxanthin is known for its extreme anti-oxidant activity and benefits in a wide range of areas. It has been reported positive effects on eye health, skin protection (including sun protection), joint pain reduction and exercise performance improvement among others.
It is normally used as a nutraceutical supplement, but it can also be used in cosmetic and even in healthcare products.
MicroA have produced astaxanthin in a large scale since 2011 and have the equipment and the capabilities to process the microalgae into ready-to-use dried astaxanthin powder.
Microalgae cultivation services
MicroA can cultivate a wide range of marine and freshwater microalgae from small laboratory scale to pilot scale (kilogram scale). MicroA can produce finished product on demand, delivering the microalgae in various forms; dried (spray, freeze), fresh concentrated or live culture.
